POP GALORE @ the Tap beginning March 28th
Hey Y'all,
Like your Rock with an equal amount of Pop? Like your Pop a little Rocky? Then POP GALORE is for you. Hosted by your fave ravers, GALORE, POP GALORE is a Monthly celebration of the Powerpop 'N' Rock 'N' Roll inside each and all of you. There will be tunes spun by Galore and friends, live acoustic performers and even some giveaways courtesy of our good friends at Jägermeister. It's what people in showbiz call 'a win-win'. It all takes place @ The Tap 517 Bloor St. W 10PM till close.
POP GALORE - Good Tunes Good Times.
Hey all you Galoriacs out there,
I (Kevin Galore, aka The Clapper, aka Kevin Hilliard) spent the weekend in Halifax for the east Coast Music Awards. No, I was not up for 'Fiddler Of The Year'. Spent the weekend checkin out bands (The Novaks & Two Hours Traffic were pretty darn good) and getting into trouble. No, that was not me going from room to room at the Delta Halifax gathering pillows for adrunken 5am pillow fight! No, that was not me getting my picture taken for the Halifax Daily News with Chris Murphy from Sloan and former Trailer Park Boy Michael Jackson.... Also, this weekend Halifax's Q104 released the results of their online poll asking people to name the best 104 East Coast songs (whatever your definition of that is) of all time. Barry Galore's former band Cool Blue Halo got a nod for their monster song 'Too Much Kathleen'. Keep your ears peeled at the next Galore gig and you may hear it.

Heya People,
Galore have a couple of shows coming up that we need to keep you abreast of. First, we are playing at The Underground in Hamilton ON on thur. Feb. 22nd. Not sure exactly when we are on but after 9 is a safe bet. Also, we are rockin The Rivoli in Toronto, ON on Thur. Mar. 1st. We are on at 11pm and then there is a kickass pop band from Kitchener, ON called The Machines (myspace.com/themachines) Come early, come often.
Also, we were in the top secret recording studios of one Todor Kobokov (of the somewhat related Small Sins band) last weekend. 4 new tunes were the result so keep your ears on and we'll post a new one as soon as we finish with it.

VOTE FOR GALORE IN Q-104'S TOP CANADIAN BANDS COUNTDOWN!
Just a note that our pals at Q-104 FM, the Rock of the Atlantic, are hosting a Top 104 Canadian Bands of All Time program on Canada Day, and we're quite excited that Galore actually made the ballot...as did Galore alumni bands such as Cool Blue Halo and National Anthem!

We’ll be celebrating the release of Amplifier with a special free show at Toronto’s Horseshoe Tavern during Dave Bookman’s Nu Music Nite on Tues. Apr. 11. No cover, but bring some bucks for the stylin’ new merch we’ll have on hand, as well as for a copy of the new album (of course) and any congratulatory drinks you wish to buy for us…heh heh
NEW ALBUM OUT MARCH 28
Well, the planets have conspired to finally, at long last, bring the new Galore album to you, the dear rock’n’roll fan. Mark Tuesday Mar. 28 on your calendars and truck on down to your local record shop, online music store or digital download thingy to pick up ‘AMPLIFIER’, released via Bhurr Records (a division of RCD Music), Fontana North and Universal Music Canada. We’re very proud of this Moe Berg-produced confection and we think you’ll dig it too. We’ll let you know when and where you can pre-order the album, and in the meantime, hit up our MySpace site to hear new tracks…And also be on the lookout (listen-out?) for the first single from the record, ‘She’s An Elevator.’ It shall rock you to your very core.
